All I Want

All I want is nothing more to hear you knocking at my door.

‘Cause if I could see your face once more, I could die a happy man I’m sure.

I discovered this song accidentally, and the first time I hear it I fell in love with love with it. I love the lyrics and the melody. And eventually, Kodaline became one of my favorite bands. So I search for them in YouTube and found the music video for All I Want. I know it’s kinda weird I didn’t watch the song’s MV the time I fell in love with it. Haha.

So here it is. There are two parts. The videos are so awesome, I promise.

All I Want

Fall Out Boy: Nobody wants to hear you sing about tragedy.
Panic! At The Disco: I write sins, not tragedies.

Nirvana: Take your time, hurry up, the choice is yours, don’t be late.
Blink-182: I took my time, I hurried up, the choice was mine, I didn’t think enough.

I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For

I think this is the theme song of my life right now.  But I also think this could be the theme song of every one of us. We are always  searching for something. We always look for something that’s not there. We were never contented. That’s why we keep looking even though we don’t really know what we were looking for. And I hope we would find whatever it is. :)

5 Heartbreaking Songs

5. Don’t Speak – No Doubt

I think this is the best (saddest) break up song ever. When you’re really close to someone, it’s really hard to accept that the relationship isn’t working out anymore. Maybe because of too much differences or faded feelings. In this song, the relationship is dying but she’s pretending that nothing’s wrong while he is letting go. She cannot do anything to save what they have.

This song can also refer to friends growing apart.

You and me, we used to be together.
Everyday together always.
I really feel  that I’m losing my best friend.
I can’t believe this could be the end.

4. Just A Dream – Carrie Underwood

In the first lines of the song, it seems like the girl is going to her wedding. Turns out, it was her husband’s funeral. He died while serving in the army. I think they got married in the same church, and she is remembering as she walks to the coffin. She can’t believe it is happening so she’s wishing it was just a dream.

Baby, why’d you leave me? Why’d you have to go?
I was counting on forever, now I’ll never know.
I can’t even breathe.
It’s like I’m looking from a distance, standing in the background.
Everybody’s saying, “he’s not coming home now”.
This can’t be happening to me. This is just a dream.

3. Could It Be Any Harder – The Calling

I’ve been listening to this song for years and all along I’ve always thought this was a break up song. Then one time, it just occurred to me that this can be for a loved one who passed away.

I’d jump at the chance.
We’d drink and we’d dance.
And I’d listen close to your every word as if its your last.
I know it’s your last ‘cause today you’re gone.

2. Tonight – FM Static

This is a very sad song. The singer reminisces the moments he shared with that special someone who has died. It’s like he’s remembering all those memories because they cannot make new ones.

Few years ago, I’ve read somewhere that this was about someone’s fiance who died in the 9/11 bombing.

And every night I miss you.
I can just look up and know the stars are
Holdin’ you, holdin’ you, holdin’ you tonight.

1. Terrible Things – Mayday Parade

This song is about meeting the boy/girl of your dreams but eventually taken away from you. In this song, the singer is talking to his son about meeting his mother. He’s telling him how they were in love since they were young. But sometimes, life gets in the way. She got sick and he was left alone.

So don’t fall in love, there’s just too much to lose.
If you’re given the choice, then I beg you to choose
to walk away, walk away, don’t let her get you.
I can’t bear to see the same happen to you.

Now, son, I’m only telling you this
because life can do terrible things.

Best. Concert. Ever.

So last night was the Linkin Park concert in The Mall Of Asia Arena. Best concert experience ever! Epic night. Awesome show. It was amazing! Truly the most technically advanced set in the Philippine concert history. I am more than happy to be there last night.  They’ve sang 22 songs with one ballad medley (my favorite!). We were all screaming our lungs out, singing along with this band we really love. Amazing feeling.

The people in the Gold Standing were very lucky.

LP00055That was Mike Shinoda. He went to the crowd. Wished I was in that area. This was in the “I’ve put my trust in you.” part of In The End.LP00057

And this was Chester in the crowd. The song this time was One Step Closer.

I really hope they will come back soon. And I wish by that time, I can afford the Standing tickets. Like those pictures above. Hihi.  My throat kinda hurts now, but in the end, it doesn’t even matter. :)

Linkin Park Live In Manila 2013

LP Tickets

Got our tickets yesterday and I am so excited! Linkin Park is my most favorite rock band ever! This will be their second time here in the Philippines. The first was in 2004. I didn’t get the chance to watch them before because I was so young then. Too bad that tour was for my favorite album, Meteora. But that’s okay. Here’s my chance. I can’t wait to see them on August 13!!! :)))

Thank you Scala Events and Manila Concert Scene for bringing Linkin Park back in Manila! We, the fans, owe you! :)

How about you guys? Are you watching too? Have you got your tickets? :D

The second picture was from the Facebook page of Scala Events.
